Our team is led by outstanding and experienced teachers who are experts in education and youth development — and who are also parents. We understand exactly how important middle school is for your family.

Andrew Ravin | Founder and Director

Andrew is an award-winning instructor, researcher, and entrepreneur.  He has more than 20 years of experience in education and youth development as a social worker, classroom teacher, literacy coach, and school leader.  

Dr. Mary Ehrenworth, Deputy Director at the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project, explains, “I look at Andrew and it gives me so much hope for middle school.  Somehow, Andrew manages to make education a place of hope and a place of intense challenge.”

Minkyu Kim | Instructional Advisor

Minkyu is a dynamic teacher who has helped students from diverse backgrounds achieve unprecedented success.  He is currently a teacher at Stuyvesant High School, named one of the most outstanding schools in the United States.  Let’s just say: he’s one of the most outstanding, too.

Denise Daniels | Instructional Advisor

Denise is a master middle school teacher and staff developer who makes a dramatic impact on every student she works with.  She specializes in leading curriculum that supports engaging, personal instruction.  Let’s just say: she makes magic happen.

Ms. Eagen is an Instructor of Law at Stanford Law School. She is an expert in education law and has extensive experience in the development of new schools.
